Rob has 35 years’ experience in IT and building businesses. Starting his IT career as a programmer in 1985, Rob has worked in Australia, the USA and the UK. He was Design Practice Manager at Asda Stores, where he led the agile transformation and technology innovation initiatives, and Associate IT Director at Leeds Beckett University. He has built successful businesses as diverse as IT training, dropship e-commerce, and growing microgreens hydroponically. Rob is currently the UK Ambassador for Voiceflow and moderates the UK Forum.
As Ambiently’s CTO Jerome leads the development team and architecture design, and is responsible for product development, security and compliance.
Jerome MacGillivray comes from a tech venture background and has worked both in the UK and overseas, from India and the Middle East; to the US and Eastern Europe; in roles ranging from CTO to project and program manager.
His technical experience includes managing development projects across the AWS stack and creating scaled, mobile applications based on cloud infrastructure; and has worked on AI chatbot and Robotics-related projects in the Fintech and STEM education sectors, developing Voice UI and speech recognition systems
Fiona has worked in a range of information settings, mostly in the education and arts sectors. She has a degree in Modern Languages and a Masters in Library and Information Studies. She held a senior librarian role at the University of Westminster. More recently she is a moderator for an online forum for a mental health charity where she is also responsible for their chatbot roadmap and content.
Tim has worked in a variety of commercial regulated businesses for over 30 years driving change and technology delivery. His experience has included being a leadership team member at two start-up technology businesses that scaled rapidly over a 5-year period.
Tim is the Chair of Governors on the Board of the University Technical College in Leeds providing independent oversight of the college activities and leading the strategic planning and visioning process. Tim is also Chair of Resources Committee responsible for oversight of the financials, external audit, internal audit and risk.
Tim is now one of the Leaders in Residence at the University of Leeds Business School sharing his business experience with both undergraduate and post graduate students.
